Dr. Bill has been practicing dentistry in South Philadelphia since 1982 after graduating from the Temple Dental School. During his career, Dr. Bill has served the South Philadelphia community with his easy-going approach to patient care and his expertise in a variety of general dental procedures, including root canals, crowns, whitening, and extractions. Dr. Bill is proud to work in our state-of-the-art office with his son-in-law, Dr. Barnes. Together, they combine the latest dental technology with superior care to bring the stellar service our patients have come to expect.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bill loves spending time with his family, including his granddaughter, Olivia, and grandson, Thomas.

Dr. Barnes graduated from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California with his MD in 2007. He completed his general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital before enrolling at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. After earning his DDS, he joined Dr. Mestichelli to form Mestichelli Barnes Dental Associates. With his unique background and skill set, Dr. Barnes has expanded the offerings of our practice to include implant placement, Invisalign, and various cosmetic services. Dr. Barnes is excited to work with his father-in-law to create a family practice built on trust and compassionate care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with his daughter Olivia and son Thomas, going to the beach, and rooting for the Flyers, Phillies, and USC football.
Dr. Kate takes a comprehensive and patient-based approach to dentistry, and appreciates the relationships she is able to build through her work here at Mestichelli Barnes Dental Associates. Dr. Kate enjoys getting to know patients and serving our community through promoting oral health awareness. She graduated with her DMD from Midwestern University in Arizona and continued on to a residency at Temple University in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and has been recognized with a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Kate received her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Kate enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Iris Chu is passionate about providing exceptional dental care in a friendly and comfortable environment. She believes in building trust with her patients and takes a personalized approach to each patient’s needs. Dr. Iris graduated summa cum laude from Temple Dental School with a DMD degree and is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Iris enjoys reading, attending Philadelphia Orchestra concerts, and finding new restaurants around the city. She is originally from North Carolina and a Tar Heel fan. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
